Any patient wishing to have insurance cover all or a portion of their treatment should contact their insurance provider to learn the coverage boundaries of their policies with respect to Traditional Chinese Medicine including Acupuncture. I am Licensed Acupuncturist (LA.c) in the state of California. I am able to work with a wide variety of insurance providers by providing my patients with a Superbill upon request.
A Superbill is an invoice for your visit that uses standardized codes for all of the treatments performed. This process requires the patient to pay the full cost of the treatment out-of-pocket at the time of the visit. The Superbill can thereafter be submitted to your insurance carrier for full or partial reimbursement depending on your policy. Patients wishing to make use of this service should check with their insurance carriers to be sure that Superbills are accepted.
Dr. Chalov utilize ear acupuncture, also known as Auriculotherapy, utilizing small, gold coated semi-permanent shaped like a dart ASP needles.
ASP Ear Golden Needles has been shown to have effects that suppress hunger, which results in a decreased appetite and a resultant weight loss.
ASP Ear 24 karat gold coated needles are designed to stay in place from 7 days up to 4 weeks, gradually falling out on their own. Patients are seen approximately once a week to check the needles and replace as necessary. Treatment includes 4 pairs of semi permanent needles for 1 low price and once a week additional weight loss protocol using specific body acupoints. By treating specific Ear points with ASP needles, your body is given a 24 hour a day reminder to restrict food urges, cravings, desires, and suppress your appetite.
ASP Ear Golden Needles works by applying stimulation to specific points in the ear. This stimulation along with the regular acupuncture needle creates an appetite suppression, decrease in cravings and an increase of a person's overall metabolism.
Weight loss rates differ for each individual. Some will steadily lose weight while others have ups and downs throughout their efforts. For a person who has between 20-50lbs to lose, an average of 2-10lbs of weight loss in the first two weeks is normal.
